SEMINAR ON STOCHASTIC PROCESSES 2023
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear colleagues and friends of stochasticity,
The Seminar on Stochastic Processes (SSP) 2023 will be held on March 8-11, 2023 (Wednesday through Saturday) at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, USA.
This conference will be held in person.
Apart from informal presentations by conference participants, there will be plenary talks by the following five invited speakers:
- Patricia Alonso Ruiz, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA.
- François Delarue (Kai Lai Chung Lecture), Université de la Côte d'Azur, Nice, France.
- Jian Ding (IMS Medallion Lecture), Peking University, Beijing, China
- Patrícia Gonçalves, Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, Portugal
- Philippe Sosoe, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA
There will be a set of tutorial lectures by:
- Gérard Ben Arous, New York University, New York, NY, USA
Given the recent evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, a fully in-person conference is expected. Remote participation may be an option to accommodate those whose health or travel situation disallows them from in-person events in Tucson next March. The conference
organizers will monitor the pandemic situation closely, and inform all conference speakers and participants of any warranted changes in conference modalities.
Please check the conference website for more practical details as they are posted: https://ssp2023.math.arizona.edu/
This SSP 2023 conference will feature the twelfth annual Kai Lai Chung Lecture, honoring Kai Lai Chung's mathematical career. Kai Lai Chung was one of the leading probabilists of the second half of the twentieth century and one of the founders of the Seminar on Stochastic Processes.
This 2023 edition of SSP will also honor an Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Medallion Lecturer, as indicated above. The IMS Committee on Special Lectures honors eight probabilists and mathematical statisticians every year by inviting them to deliver
IMS Medallion Lectures at various conference venues.
The main conference will be held on March 9-11, 2023.
On March 8, 2023, there will be a special set of tutorial lectures and discussions targeted at early-career researchers.
The organizers of SSP 2023 expect to offer financial support for participants to attend the conference. Registration, including requests for financial support for early-career researchers, will be facilitated soon at the
conference website:
