Here in Sullivan County we are very excited to be celebrating the theme "GIS is Everywhere", highlighting the impact GIS has on our residents every day and the hard work you put into being a GIS change maker. However, we need your help to do it! We understand that not everyone has the means or the facility to host a GIS Day in person so, as a local GIS Champion you are being sent this email as an invite to set up a GIS Champion display highlighting your work, here at the Sullivan County Gov't Center on November 16th, 2022 from 10 am - 4 pm. We hope you can join us! I, or my GIS Specialist, Alison, will be happy to answer any questions you may have before you make a decision as to whether you wish to participate. Our guidelines are simple: How to highlight your work! * Anticipated display area for each participant is half of an 8' table, please plan accordingly * Must include at least one GIS map (made by us or by you!) highlighting your work * Display must highlight how GIS, or the Sullivan County GIS Program, has benefited your work/initiative/program/user group * Everything else is up to you! Feel free to include pamphlets, small presentations from your own laptop, freebies, etc... * This is a public event to be held here at the Sullivan County Gov't Center, so be prepared to interact with the public and answer questions! Space is limited (only 5 slots left!) so please confirm you interest in participating as soon as possible.
