Dear all,

Tomorrow's speaker in the Analysis and Probability Seminar is Luis Garza.  The title of his talk is "Orthogonal Polynomials and Stability of Linear Systems."

The talk will begin at 1:30pm tomorrow in Mont 313.

Abstract: There is a well known relation between the theory of orthogonal polynomials and the theory of Hurwitz polynomials, that characterize the asymptotic stability of continuous time-invariant linear systems. In this talk, we show several methods that take advantage of basic properties of orthogonal polynomials to construct robustly stable families of Hurwitz polynomials. Some examples and applications will be presented.

Best,

Sean
