Hello NEARC! Our regional planning agency is hiring multiple positions. Of special interest is a GIS and Data specialist who will as a technical assistant on numerous plans, civic engagement efforts, and other work products. The Specialist will perform a wide variety of data gathering, editing, analysis, and interpretation; map and figure production; file and database maintenance; and utilizing web services on ArcGIS online.

In my main department I am also looking for a great candidate for a Homeland Security Specialist. Less GIS here, though some mapping is involved. Mainly they act as a technical assistant on numerous SRAC- related tasks including, but not limited to: project development, management, and oversight, purchase orders, reimbursements, and vendor relations, grant writing, management, and compliance, meeting preparation, attendance and taking of minutes, stakeholder outreach, relations, and communication, inventory control, mapping, and database management, field work for Active Shooter / Hostile Event (ASHE) Response tools, drone flights, and trainings, web page development, upkeep, and management.

We have great benefits, and are working under a hybrid/remote model right now.
