Learn why this is important |
Hi everyone,
By way of brief introduction, I’m a Cornell University professor who in May launched the National Zoning Atlas,
following my earlier project in Connecticut, and aims to depict key aspects of zoning codes in an online, user-friendly map. We have two geospatial positions available,
with job descriptions here: www.zoningatlas.org/jobs
The project coordinator on the geospatial side should be someone with management experience (as they will be coordinating not only students but also at least 14 state project teams) and familiarity with
database-GIS integration. (We have an external database developer working on a backend for data entry, but the project coordinator for us would have to maintain the system.) The geospatial assistant would need to be someone ready and eager to dig into (clean,
merge, and integrate into the national map) zoning maps from possibly hundreds of jurisdictions. All positions are remote, so we need folks who can work independently and collaboratively.
Please send the link to qualified candidates and encourage them to apply (promptly, as I’m looking to hire ASAP)!
Sincerely,
Sara Bronin
