The first link above provides detailed information for the position of GIS Specialist. Here is a blurb from the link:

 

The Onondaga County Department of Emergency Communications is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Geographic Information Systems Specialist. The work involves responsibility for assisting in the planning, development and coordination of a Geographic Information System. An employee in this class uses GIS software to create, modify, analyze and display geographic data in order to meet the spatial data needs of the County. The GIS Specialist serves as a liaison with user departments and management.

 

 

The second link above provides detailed information for the position of Systems Administrator in case you know someone looking for something a bit out of the geospatial realm. Here is a blurb from the link:

 

The Onondaga County Department of Emergency Communications is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Systems Administrator. The work involves responsibility for providing systems support, including the maintenance and upgrades to hardware, software and networks. An employee in this class creates end user reports used for the communication of information and provides systems training to employees. Supervision is received from a higher-level administrator.
