EOTSS is looking to hire an experienced leader to serve as the Director of the Bureau of Geographic Information (MassGIS) to oversee our project teams, engage with agency partners and stakeholders to improve the availability, quality, and accuracy of enterprise level geospatial information, and further develop the Commonwealth’s GIS programs and strategies. The MassGIS Director must be an effective manager with extensive GIS background and demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams of GIS specialists, coordinators, technicians, and programmers to deliver both small and large-scale projects on-time and on-budget The incumbent is a team-oriented leader capable of working collaboratively with business leaders to address their geospatial information needs. The incumbent is also a strategic thinker who improve the functionality and value of the Commonwealth’s enterprise GIS assets. The primary work location for this role will be at One Ashburton Place, Boston, Massachusetts 02108. The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 9AM to 5PM EST. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed.
