CGA 2023 Conference: From Geospatial Research to Health Solutions

This two-day event features three keynote speakers, thirty theme-based presentations in seven interactive panels, two workshops in parallel tracks, and a poster session. Speakers are by invitation only and will be presenting onsite, while poster presentations are open to the public. Participation is free with limited onsite seating. The event will be streamed live as a Zoom webinar, with link sent to registered emails prior to the event date. GIS Institute Summer 2023: Immersive Training for Spatial Research

Twice a year in January and June, the CGA offers a two-week training course in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and its application to research. The program is designed for Harvard graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and staff, as well as external researchers who want to integrate spatial thinking, incorporate GIS methods and tools, and map communication into their research. The Summer Workshop on Spatiotemporal Innovation

Date: July 10 - 14, 2023, 9:00am - 5:00pm

This workshop is sponsored by the Spatial Data Lab project to promote replicable and expandable spatiotemporal data science with advanced methodology and technology. The workshop will introduce methodology, functions and workflow-based tools for spatiotemporal data analysis as well as case studies for applications across different fields, including public health, business, social media, remote sensing, and environmental science. The Symposium on Spatiotemporal Data Science

Date: July 15 - 16, 2023, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Location: CGIS South Building, Tsai Auditorium S010, 1730 Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA 02138

This symposium is an extension to the Workshop on Spatiotemporal Innovation. It will feature plenary speakers, parallel oral presentation sessions, and a poster exhibition. The program will include onsite (for July 15) and online sessions (for July 15 and 16). The organization committee plans to select a group of high-quality papers presented at the symposium and recommend them for publishing in a special issue with a prominent journal in the area of spatiotemporal data science.
