Good Afternoon,

The CT GIS Network and the University of Connecticut are once again hosting the 2023 CT Maps Competition for middle and high school students. This is a state and national competition sponsored by Esri that gives students the opportunity to showcase their ideas and knowledge using ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps. Please visit the competition StoryMap for more details and registration, and the CT GIS Network website to view previous winners. Registration is free but required. Teachers can sign up for assistance and mentoring. The registration deadline is April 7. Entries are due May 5 and state winners (prizes!) are announced May 15. The winner of each division (middle and high school) will go on to compete nationally with other state winners from across the country. Esri will announce national winners on May 30, 2023 and feature them in a webinar series.

If you have any questions about the contest or need technical assistance or mapping guidance, please reach out to me at [log in to unmask].

Thanks…and please pass this info on to any interested parties. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to shine!

Cary
