I wanted to invite everyone to the Tufts Annual GIS Poster Expo. As usual we will have a significant number of digital and print entries. This year we have over 800 students using GIS at Tufts. Refreshments will be provided. The information
is below.

Awards:
There are multiple Intro GIS
& Advanced GIS “Best in Show”
$100
prizes and multiple Intro
& Advanced “Runner-up” awards of $50 each.
Additionally, winning posters and Storymaps will be brought to the
ESRI User’s Conference in San Diego and entered into ESRI’s Map Gallery and competition on behalf of Tufts University.
Evaluation Criteria:
Entries will be evaluated on both content (60%) and design (40%).
Eligibility:
Any Tufts undergraduate, graduate student, or student group are eligible to submit a GIS poster or GIS web-based project, such as a StoryMap, to the GIS Expo competition. Faculty are
also encouraged to contribute their posters, but are not eligible for prizes.
Specifications:
Posters should be created at size 30” x 40”. They can be landscape or portrait orientation. Web-based projects must be shared publicly.
Submission Guidelines:

Submission Deadline:
GIS projects must be entered online by Monday, May 8th at 11:59PM. Posters must be printed in the Data Lab by Tuesday, May 9th by 9PM. Printing is free of charge
for GIS Expo participants and can be completed while a Lab Assistant is on Duty.
