I just wanted to post this reminder. There is still time to register for URISA's GIS Leadership Academy (GLA) (https://urisa-portal.org/page/URISA_GLA) being held this June 12-16 in Charlotte North Carolina. This week long course teaches many of the soft skills needed to be a successful leader and manager in the GIS Industry. It was developed and taught by industry leaders. I wish this had existed when I was coming up through the ranks. It would have helped me avoid learning many lessons the hard way.

The five-day GLA program focuses on:

It includes interactive exercises, small-group discussions, team-building activities, and opportunities to delve into topics in a way you cannot do at a large conference. Participation is intentionally limited in order to encourage such interaction. Register early to reserve your spot and take advantage of discounts. (The registration fee includes all five days of education and materials, daily lunch, one evening reception and refreshments.) The GLA will conclude no later than 2:00 PM on Friday to accommodate departures on Friday afternoon/evening and keep travel expenses down.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I will be one of the instructors.
