Greetings NEARC GIS Community:
Esri is offering a brand-new Massive Open Online Course this Fall!
GIS
for Climate Action is a 6-week course that will demonstrate how GIS technology can be applied to identify risks, opportunities, and sustainable solutions for climate-related
issues like flooding and greenhouse gas emissions, while drawing on the latest capabilities in ArcGIS software. The course is designed and led by Dawn Wright, Esri’s Chief Scientist and specialist in marine geology, geography, and oceanography.
As with other MOOCs, registration is free, and participants who finish the course will receive a digital certificate of completion. The course begins on 25 Oct; registration
closes 9 Nov. (If the dates sound confusing, it is because we let people sign up and catch up in the course even after the course begins
😊 ).
Visit the
MOOC
page for details and to register.
