Statistical Horizons will host two seminars on Bayesian methods, both taught by Roy Levy, this fall.
Applied Bayesian Data Analysis, September 7-9. In this seminar, you will
get both a practical and theoretical introduction to Bayesian methods. Bayesian principles will be introduced in familiar contexts starting with simple binomial and univariate normal models and then moving to simple and multiple regression.
Applied Bayesian Data Analysis: A Second Course, December
7-9. Building off of the introductory course in September, this seminar describes Bayesian approaches, and their attending advantages, in several advanced modeling frameworks, including factor analysis, structural equation models, and multilevel models.
We will cover Bayesian confirmatory factor analysis in depth, including procedures for model evaluation and model comparison.
Both 3-day livestream seminars will be held via Zoom, but you can also join asynchronously by viewing the recorded videos of each session.
