GIS Manager / Regional Planner The Northwest Hills Council of Governments (NHCOG) is seeking a self-motivated, creative professional to be responsible for the agency’s geographic information systems resources. Position responsibilities include: creating and maintaining regional GIS resources, including making maps for planning projects, maintaining GIS data, and conducting GIS analysis to support regional planning efforts and municipal requests. The GIS Planner will have opportunities to work on diverse regional planning projects including: transportation, land use, emergency management, and environmental planning. Other planning work and responsibilities outside of GIS will be assigned dependent on interest, ability, and agency workload. Experience creating and maintaining GIS datasets is required. Familiarity with land parcel data and editing is preferred. Excellent cartographic, data visualization, graphic design, and organization capabilities are essential. Thorough analytical, report writing, and communication abilities are desirable. Must have experience with ESRI ArcGIS software and online options. Experience with information technology, including cloud-based solutions is beneficial. See Job Description for more information. The position salary range is approximately $75,000 to $90,000 and will be dependent on qualifications.
