Hi,
I recalled my previous message since I didn't realize it had the U-Mass subject. Sorry Joe-

If anyone is looking for other adjunct positions in the area:

The Graduate School of Geography at Clark University (Worcester, MA) is seeking adjunct instructors to teach two courses in the Spring 2024 semester – Intermediate Quantitative Methods in Geography and a Special Topics course on Land Change Science. The course descriptions are as follows:
GEOG 247/347 – Intermediate Quantitative Methods in Geography (T/F 1:25 – 2:40 PM)
Intermediate Quantitative Methods in Geography extends the concepts of introductory statistics to multivariate regression, principal components, spatial statistics, and additional intermediate methods. The course uses the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software, which works as a spreadsheet with dropdown menus. Students learn how to select a method and interpret its output in a practical manner that avoids common misconceptions. Students apply the concepts to group projects based on student interest.
GEOG 286/386 – Special Topics: Land Change Science (T/F 2:50 – 4:05 PM)
Land-change science is the study of the human and environmental factors and forces that transform land-cover and land-use globally. These factors and forces include global climate change and related atmospheric, biological, and hydrological processes that are reshaping the earth’s surface, ecosystems, and patterns of human settlement. This course utilizes GIScience techniques in/for land-change science to examine the drivers and dynamics of land-use, land-cover change today.
We welcome individuals interested in teaching one or both courses. If you are interested please reach out to Jim Murphy ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), Director of the Graduate School of Geography, as soon as possible. He can provide information on remuneration, etc
