Even during COVID it lasted quite a while. We had all of our tax map layers, our 911 addressing layers, waterbodies, and waterlines available as open data and on several apps, as well as a number of other hosted layers for use in the apps. The best way to handle it, in my experience, is to work with the courtesy credits to start but keep an eye on them using your status page in AGOL. If they start getting low and it’s still early in your renewal period you can always purchase blocks of credits (which are valid for two years from date of purchase). They are currently running at a cost of 1,000 credits for $120 so not really much cost to get more. You’ll probably be surprised by how much you can do with those courtesy credits.
