The Department of Environmental Protection - MassDEP - is the state agency responsible for ensuring clean air and water, the safe management of toxics and hazards, the recycling of solid and hazardous wastes, the timely cleanup of hazardous waste sites and spills, and the preservation of wetlands and coastal resources.

MassDEP seeks applicants for the position of an Environmental Analyst III/GIS Data and Visualization Analyst.  This position is assigned to the Boston office located at 100 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA and will report to the MassDEP GIS Program Director.  The incumbent will support MassDEP’s requirements for management of up-to-date geospatial information and development of dynamic mapping applications as well as streamlining consistencies between enterprise datasets and related geodatabases. The incumbent will also assist in integration of GIS applications with business analytics tools that will facilitate decision-making for DEP Staff as well as making geospatial data more accessible to the public.
