Please check out this new video on the SAM YouTube channel about Understanding Esri Geodatabases. In this video I provide a high level overview of what a Geodatabase is, a general description of its organizational structure and some of the behaviors you can implement for improved data quality. While I know most in this list know all this, this video hopefully will help other non-GIS or non-Esri folks understand geodatabases a little bit  better. I also hope it will make your jobs easier as you can just point them to this video as a quick explanation.
